1 – 6th most looked up keyword

1 is, according to iwebtool’s Keyword Lookup, the 6th most looked up keyword on search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN. 1 – Nothing more and nothing less. It makes you wonder, right? What is someone searching for when typing only 1? Ok, I can understand ‘One’ or ‘First’ or even ‘Number 1’, but only ‘1’?

  • 1 as in top placement?
  • 1 as in not two?
  • 1 as in I-meant-to-type-q-but-slipped?

Well, this is my attempt to see if any of the 6,810,251 searches per Month for ‘1’ will hit this page, as I have almost stuffed it with the keyword 1. In my case, this 1 post will most likely mean nothing more than 1 more post on our blog…

Googleerth

Quite often people misspell keywords when they perform their searches in Google and other search engines. Take Googleerth for an example, where the most likely correct keyword should have been GoogleEarth. A quick keyword analysis shows that 862 daily searches are made for Googleerth, giving Googleerth a KEI (Keyword Index) of 1.110.679.

A good web designer will include misspelled and uncommon spellings of words on a webpage as people use them as their search words. In other words, if wanting to target the keyword GoogleEarth, one should also aim for Googleerth, as (obviously) a lot of people frequently misspell the intended word.

Hopefully you will find high-quality misspelled keywords with the same potential as Googleerth
